i dream of a coup
evil washes out evil
the cycle restarts

one more glass of wine
it won't make things better, but
it will ease the ache

evening glass of wine
let the nonsense drift away
night is falling fast

the rain never stops
soaking deep into the earth
softening the bones

Black wings on grey skies
Crows gather twigs and branches
To build summer's nest

an orchard of words
ripening in summer sun
ready for harvest

unexpected frost
makes the grass glitter and shine
but kills the seedlings
